Tis’ the season with wedding bells, bouquets and centerpieces.  Spring/Early Summer is a fantastic time for a wedding and a perfect time for food trucks…so why not combine the two!  The Knot stated, “Food trucks have long been a favorite lunchtime and late-night food option, and they’re also a super-popular wedding catering trend. If midnight made-to-order tacos or fresh doughnuts for brunch sounds perfect for your wedding festivities…”

Thanks to sites like The Knot and an uptick in the food truck trend, having a truck at your wedding is not as easy as you think.  My advice, as a food truck owner, is to book early!  Like really early! Food trucks, especially the popular ones in your area, book up a year even two in advance.  And just like you would with any caterer, do your research.  Make sure to read reviews, examine packages, and make sure that you are hiring a licensed and insured food truck vendor.

A food truck will absolutely make your guests go wild and can be extremely popular not only during the reception but at other main points of your big day.  Have you considered treating your guests to a snack immediately following the ceremony but before the cocktail hour?  We’ve parked in a church lot before and handed out piping hot tots to guests making their way to the reception hall.  Or how about as a late night snack?  Guests will thank you after a night of drinking and dancing when they walk out to an awesome themed food truck just before they head out for the evening.  Consider a food truck for more than just your reception, they can bring a unique element to your big day.

And remember…book early!
